El Al Expands London Flights, Adding Three Weekly Services to Heathrow

El Al is set to significantly increase its flight offerings between Israel and London for the upcoming winter season, announcing an expansion of its operations to London Heathrow Airport. Starting October 26, 2026, and running through March 25, 2027, the airline will add three new weekly flights to its existing schedule to the British capital. These additional flights are scheduled for Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, providing travelers with more options for business trips, visits, and vacations during the winter months.

Currently, El Al operates approximately ten weekly flights between Tel Aviv and Heathrow. The newly added services will include flight LY209 departing Tel Aviv at 11:00 AM and LY210 departing Heathrow at 4:20 PM. The airline will utilize its wide-body aircraft, including Boeing 787 Dreamliners and refurbished Boeing 777s, on these routes. This combination of aircraft allows El Al to increase seat capacity alongside the expanded flight frequency.

In addition to its Heathrow operations, El Al will continue to fly to London Luton Airport. When combining services to both airports, El Al anticipates offering up to twenty weekly flights between Tel Aviv and the London area during the winter. This expanded schedule provides passengers with a choice of two airports serving the city.

The increase in flights by El Al comes as other airlines also operate the direct route between Israel and London. Israir and Arkia, both Israeli carriers, along with the Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air, also offer flights on this corridor. El Al's announcement is expected to further broaden the available flight options for passengers traveling to London this winter.
