Rabbi Baruch Chait Inspires Students at Neshmat HaTorah Yeshiva

Rabbi Baruch Chait, Rosh Yeshiva of Ma'arav, delivered an uplifting address and musical performance at Neshmat HaTorah Yeshiva during a special preparation day for Rosh Hashanah. He was accompanied by Rabbi Steinberger, the Rosh Yeshiva of Neshmat HaTorah, and together they led the students in a session of spiritual discourse and emotional melodies, with Rabbi Chait accompanying the singing on guitar.

Rabbi Chait highlighted the deep educational connection between himself and Rabbi Steinberger, recounting their approximately 15-year collaboration. Rabbi Steinberger previously served as a "Rebbe" (teacher) at Ma'arav Yeshiva for about 15 years before establishing Neshmat HaTorah, and they share a common educational vision.

A particularly memorable moment occurred when Rabbi Steinberger shared the history of the famous melody "Kol Ha'olam Kulo" (The Entire World), which Rabbi Chait composed shortly before the Yom Kippur War, based on the words of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov. Rabbi Chait then recounted his experiences during the war, including performing for soldiers on the front lines. He noted that later accounts revealed soldiers crossing the Suez Canal were singing these very words during battle.

Rabbi Chait also shared personal conversations with soldiers and members of the Hashomer Hatzair youth movement about faith and prayer during crises. He emphasized the importance of cultivating inner spiritual feeling as key to genuine prayer, especially during the High Holy Days. The event concluded with dancing and singing, leaving students with a profound spiritual and emotional preparation for the upcoming Days of Judgment.
