Shas Chairman Deri Slams 'Nezah' Film as Blood Libel Fueling Anti-Israel Incitement
Shas party chairman Aryeh Deri has strongly criticized the film "Nezah," labeling it a "false and outrageous fictional plot that slanders IDF soldiers and provides backing for anti-Semitic incitement against Israel." Deri asserted that the film harms IDF soldiers and emboldens anti-Israel propaganda.
He specifically addressed remarks made by Yair Golan, who reportedly called IDF soldiers "baby killers as a hobby." Deri stated, "When Yair Golan dares to call our soldiers 'baby killers as a hobby', it is no wonder that incitement from here turns into propaganda against Israel." Deri emphasized that IDF soldiers risk their lives to defend the people of Israel and deserve full backing and deep appreciation from everyone.
In his remarks, Deri also called on Gadi Eisenkot to cancel the surplus agreement with Golan. "It is inconceivable that someone who served as Chief of Staff would lend a hand, even indirectly, to such a severe blow against IDF soldiers," Deri declared.
