Online Workshop Offers Tools for Guiding Singles Toward Marriage
An upcoming digital event aims to equip women with practical tools to assist single individuals in their search for a spouse. Organized by the "Oumek HaKשר" institute, in collaboration with "Shirat Malach" and "Shagririm BaLev," the workshop will address the emotional barriers that often hinder progress in dating.
Many women who support single friends or relatives find that good intentions and emotional support are insufficient to overcome prolonged stagnation. Nechama Bitkover, founder of "Oumek HaKשר," emphasizes the importance of identifying subtle obstacles, such as fear of losing oneself, recurring avoidance patterns, or conflicting beliefs formed in the past. She explains that understanding these "blind spots" can significantly alter the situation.
The workshop will present a structured methodology combining religious insights with modern therapeutic approaches like CBT, Gestalt, and narrative therapy. These methods are designed to help dismantle emotional blockages calmly and confidently. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, September 16th, at 8:00 PM, and will be broadcast live on Zoom. Admission is free, but registration is required due to limited capacity.
Featured speakers include Nechama Bitkover, who has guided over 2,000 couples to marriage and trained hundreds of coaches; senior educator and therapist Shirat Malach, who will discuss the influence of parental relationships on partner selection; and Uriel Lux, CEO of "Shagririm BaLev," who will analyze why promising matches are rejected before the first date.
The event also offers a professional and economic opportunity, exploring how women can transition from volunteer counseling to establishing their own independent practices. Senior coaches who are graduates of the institute will share their experiences in building successful clinics, and information on the institute's training programs for the upcoming year will be provided. The workshop is intended for professionals in education, counseling, and therapy, as well as for mothers, sisters, and friends seeking to better understand and support those looking for a partner.
