Top Rabbi Urges Jews to Grasp Divine Hand During Days of Awe

Rabbi Chizkiyahu Mishkovsky, the spiritual supervisor of the "Arochos Torah" yeshiva, delivered a special address at the "Ner Zevach" yeshiva in Moshav Otzem on the conclusion of Rosh Hashanah and the Day of Judgment. Rabbi Mishkovsky had been staying at the yeshiva throughout Rosh Hashanah with his son-in-law, Rabbi Shmuel Ansbacker, a "Rebbe" (lecturer) at the institution.

At the end of the holiday, Rabbi Mishkovsky spoke to the students, offering words of encouragement for the Ten Days of Repentance leading up to Yom Kippur. He emphasized the outstretched hand offered by God to every Jew, stressing the importance of utilizing these days of mercy and forgiveness to strengthen one's connection to divine service.

"God extends a hand even to the wicked," Rabbi Mishkovsky stated. "One must seize this offered hand, hold onto it, and not let go."

Following Rabbi Mishkovsky's address, the head of the "Ner Zevach" yeshiva, Rabbi Yitzchak Ze'ev Feinstein, delivered the customary annual address to the students at the close of Rosh Hashanah.
