Former Argentine Ambassador to IHRA Affirms Jewish People Can Be Antisemitic

Alejandro Pinochiaro, who previously served as Argentina's ambassador to the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA), stated that an individual is antisemitic if they utter an antisemitic statement or commit an antisemitic act, regardless of their religious or ethnic background. He affirmed this stance, which he first articulated when asked if a Jewish person could be antisemitic during his tenure.

Pinochiaro also asserted that Israel is the sole stable and established democracy defending Western moral values in a highly complex region. He highlighted Israel's unique position in the Middle East.
