Hapoel Tel Aviv FC Ends Legal Action Against Own Supporters

Hapoel Tel Aviv Football Club announced on Monday a new policy under which it will no longer pursue legal action against its own fans. Following instructions from Chairman Stav Shaham, any warning letters or legal proceedings previously initiated by the club against supporters will be canceled. The club emphasized that this decision applies exclusively to actions and letters originating from the club itself. Any private lawsuits filed by owner Ofer Yanai against fans are separate from this initiative and unrelated to the announcement.

The decision comes after months of tension and a crisis of trust between the Hapoel Tel Aviv management and segments of its fan base. The club explained its goal is to resolve disputes through dialogue and discussion, meeting fans in the stands rather than in court. It was also clarified that in ongoing legal proceedings, the club is currently the defendant, not the plaintiff.

Shaham stated, "We are opening a new chapter. Even when there are disputes, our way should be dialogue, discussion, and understanding that we are all part of the same community. The place for Hapoel fans is with us, in the stands, and not against the club in court. In the spirit of the month of forgiveness, it is time to leave these things behind and move forward together."
