Reality TV Star Recalls Birth Room Reminding Her of Big Brother
The new season of the Israeli reality docu-series "Baby Boom" features a humorous anecdote from contestant Rinat Giters Bass, who previously appeared on "Big Brother" alongside Lihy Graner. Upon arriving at the delivery room, Giters Bass noted the extensive camera setup, which reminded her of the "Big Brother" house. "The whole room is networked with cameras, it really reminds me... because on 'Big Brother' you see, there are cameras you see and cameras you don't see," she explained.
Her husband, Tal, also joked about the setup, comparing his assigned chair to one in the "Big Brother" house. The most amusing moment came when Tal suggested hiring Lihy Graner, who is now a doula, to assist during the birth. "He came to me a few days ago, saying, 'Rinat, you know Lihy Graner who was with you on 'Big Brother,' she's a doula? Maybe we should hire her?'" Rinat recounted.
Rinat firmly rejected the idea, insisting that only her husband would be her doula. "With all due respect to Lihy, I love Lihy, her honor is in its place... You are my doula. You, only you," she told him. "I won't miss... there's no such thing as Tal not being with me in the delivery room, and he, only he! I just need to see him to calm down."
Despite her refusal, Rinat playfully mimicked how Graner might have coached her, imitating an enthusiastic voice saying, "Come on, you can do it! Come on, go ahead. You're great, you're a champion! We are here." Lihy Graner, who does work as a birth doula, is set to appear in the next episode of "Baby Boom" with a different couple. The show follows couples through their journey to parenthood, documenting intimate moments from delivery rooms.
