Kindergarten Assistant Sentenced to Seven Years for Abusing 12 Infants
A kindergarten assistant in Netanya has been sentenced to seven years in prison for abusing and assaulting 12 infants under her care. The court convicted her of approximately 60 counts of abuse and assault against toddlers aged seven months to 18 months.
During the trial, the court described the actions as severe violence against defenseless children. In addition to the prison sentence, the assistant was ordered to pay 300,000 shekels in compensation to the children's parents.
The prosecution had sought a 10-year sentence and stated they are considering an appeal, believing the current sentence to be too lenient. The case involved acts such as hitting, pinching, and spraying cleaning fluid on the infants.
