Blue Bird Airways Launches Discounted Luxury Vacation Packages
Greek airline Blue Bird Airways, in partnership with the travel website "HaDaka Ha90" (The 90th Minute), is offering discounted vacation packages for the long weekend preceding Yom Kippur, starting September 17. These packages include flights, transfers, and hotels in popular destinations in Greece and Cyprus, priced approximately 25% lower than peak Sukkot holiday rates.
The promotion features three-night stays in various key locations. For example, a family package to Crete at the Aquila Rithymna Beach hotel, including half-board and water park access, starts at 5,450 shekels for two adults and two children. A package to Paphos for two adults and one child at the Paphos Hills hotel begins at 5,800 shekels. An all-inclusive holiday in Kos at the Kipriotis Village hotel is available from 5,892 shekels per family, and an all-inclusive package in Rhodes at the Blue Bay hotel starts at 7,450 shekels.
Ilan Shalev, VP of Marketing for HaDaka Ha90, noted significant demand for last-minute short breaks. He highlighted that departing on a Thursday and returning early in the week allows families and couples to save on vacation days, making the current timing particularly attractive due to the price difference compared to Sukkot.
Earlier this year, Blue Bird Airways demonstrated aggressive pricing with a major sale on flights from Israel between February 1 and March 10, 2026. The airline offered numerous direct flights from Ben Gurion Airport to various European destinations, with hundreds of seats available for mid-week or weekend trips starting at just $49 one-way.
