Ron Kippur Names Attorney General Galit Baharav-Miara His "Woman of the Year"

Radio host Ron Kippur has selected Attorney General Galit Baharav-Miara as his "Woman of the Year" in a special New Year's segment on 103FM radio. Kippur praised Baharav-Miara for her efforts against various laws, her role in halting the judicial reform proposed by Justice Minister Yariv Levin, and her opposition to the government, particularly Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.

"My Woman of the Year is attorney Galit Baharav-Miara, the Attorney General whose advice the government does not want. She is the last anchor against the takeover of evil and crime," Kippur declared. He characterized her actions as attempts to block moves he described as tyranny and religious dictatorship, comparing her to the "Dutch boy with his finger in the dike" but expressing concern that her finger might soon be forced out.

Kippur specifically highlighted Baharav-Miara's successes against the political system, citing her stance on the ultra-Orthodox draft exemption laws and her blocking of the advancement of female officers by the National Security Minister. He commented on Justice Minister Levin, stating that while he respects Levin as a public servant, Levin sought to destroy the justice system, but failed due to Baharav-Miara's work.

Concluding his remarks, Kippur issued a stern warning regarding the Attorney General's personal safety, calling for an immediate increase in her security detail. "A great and significant threat hovers around her. She must be secured by Unit 730 of the Shin Bet, not just the Court Security, I truly fear they will try to harm her. We are not prepared, even 31 years later, for another tragic event of murdering a leader or public official," he stated.
