Ron Kippur Names Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara His "Woman of the Year"

Ron Kippur, a commentator on 103FM radio, has named Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara as his "Woman of the Year," praising her as the "last anchor against the takeover of evil and crime." Kippur lauded Baharav-Miara for resisting what he described as the government's moves towards "dragon laws, tyranny, and a religious dictatorship called a theocracy."

He likened her to the Dutch boy with his finger in the dike, expressing concern that her efforts might soon be overwhelmed. Kippur highlighted Baharav-Miara's successes in blocking legislation proposed by the ultra-Orthodox parties and in thwarting Interior Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir's attempts to delay the promotion of female officers.

While acknowledging Yariv Levin, the Minister of Justice, as a public servant, Kippur asserted that Levin's goal was to dismantle the Supreme Court, judges, and the State Attorney's Office, and that his failure was due to Baharav-Miara's work.

Kippur expressed grave concern for Baharav-Miara's safety, suggesting she should be protected by a Shin Bet unit rather than just court security. He fears an assassination attempt, drawing a parallel to the assassination of a public figure 31 years prior, and criticized what he sees as a lack of seriousness regarding the threat.
