Maccabi Tel Aviv's handball team has been eliminated from the European Federation Cup after suffering a second consecutive loss to Switzerland's Bern. The aggregate score over the two legs was a decisive 79:50 in favor of Bern.
In the second leg, played on Sunday, Maccabi Tel Aviv lost 40:25. Bern established a strong lead early, going up 11:5 after 15 minutes and finishing the first half with a 20:10 advantage. The Swiss team continued to extend their lead in the second half, reaching 30:16 by the 45th minute and ultimately winning 40:25.
The first leg, played less than 24 hours prior, also saw Bern secure a dominant victory with a score of 39:25. These two wins propelled Bern into the next stage of the competition.
