Saudi Oil Pipeline Hit by Drones; Missing Israeli Officer Found Dead

Saudi Arabia announced Saturday that drones launched from Iraq struck multiple locations along the kingdom's east-west oil pipeline, temporarily halting operations. The pipeline is crucial for Saudi oil exports via the Red Sea, bypassing the Strait of Hormuz. The extent of the damage and the number of casualties are still unknown. U.S. President Donald Trump commented on the attack, suggesting Iran was likely responsible and stating that the Houthis did not wish to engage with the U.S. He added, "We control Hormuz and Iran is probably responsible for the attack. The Houthis don't want to fight us. The Crown Prince is a good friend of mine, everything will be resolved well."

In a separate incident, three young men, identified as relatives from the Triangle region and known to police, were found dead inside a car that had caught fire in an open area near Baqa al-Gharbiyye early Sunday. The victims were Yahya Basmiya, 22, and brothers Qassem Odeh, 20, and Yazan, 16. Police have opened an investigation.

Separately, Sergeant First Class Itai Peretz, a 23-year-old officer in the elite Yamam counter-terrorism unit, was found dead on a Haifa beach on Saturday after an extensive search. Peretz had gone missing on Thursday afternoon after entering the water at Students' Beach. His death is under investigation. He is survived by his parents, five siblings, and a partner.
