Three Cousins Found Murdered in Burned Car After Wedding
Israeli police are investigating the apparent triple murder of three relatives whose bodies were discovered inside a burned-out car in an open area between the towns of Baqa al-Gharbiyya and Jat in the Sharon region. The victims have been identified as residents of Jaljulia: brothers Qasem Odeh, 20, and Zein Odeh, 16, and their 22-year-old cousin Yahya Basimi.
According to investigators, the three relatives attended a wedding the previous evening. They lost contact with their families after leaving the event. Relatives reported them missing, prompting police to retrace their likely route before the car was found.
Emergency services received a report of a car fire around 3:09 AM in the Sharon region. Firefighters, paramedics, and police responded. After extinguishing the blaze, they found three unconscious young men inside, showing no signs of life. Paramedics pronounced them dead at the scene.
Police are treating the incident as a premeditated murder with criminal motives. Investigators collected evidence and interviewed family members to reconstruct the victims' movements and the car's path to its final location. The bodies were sent to the Abu Kabir Forensic Institute in Tel Aviv for official identification.
