Hapoel Ironi Tiberias Faces Doping Probe, Transfer Window Activity

Several players, including Guy Hadida, Sambinha, David Kaltins, Niv Gottlieb, and Yonatan Teper, have been questioned by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) regarding the dosage and timing of their infusions. The club believes the players' inability to provide specific answers will make it difficult for the Football Association's tribunal to prove the use of prohibited substances, potentially leading to a lesser charge of improper procedure rather than using banned substances. This could result in a lighter penalty than initially anticipated.

Tiberias is preparing for further evidence hearings next month and insists that the investigator from the Football Association's investigative company, Dean Perger, must attend and be questioned. Concurrently, the club is seeking to reinforce its roster. They have expressed interest in Maccabi Netanya's French midfielder, Willian Cyprien, but his acquisition depends on Netanya's contribution to his salary. Tiberias is also attempting to sign Michael Ohana, a free agent, though this move might hinge on Itamar Shviro's departure, as Ohana will not accept a reduction in his salary. Ohana can join even after the transfer window closes.
