Nazareth Reconciliation Committee Announces Truce Between Bakri and Nafaa Families

A reconciliation and reform committee in Nazareth announced on Tuesday that a truce has been reached between the Bakri and Nafaa families, ending a period of tension in the city and its surrounding areas. The committee, referred to as a "Jaha" or delegation, stated in a press release that "the door of sedition" between the families and their associates has been closed following extensive efforts by peacemakers.

Both the Bakri and Nafaa families, along with their relatives and friends, have expressed their commitment to avoiding any actions or words that could reignite the conflict. They have also collectively rejected methods of abuse, defamation, incitement, and the dissemination of images, videos, or posts on social media platforms like TikTok that could provoke further unrest.

The committee urged all residents, relatives, and friends to uphold goodness, refrain from spreading rumors, and avoid sharing any content that could offend any party or restart the conflict. They called for responsibility and the promotion of positive discourse and reform among people.

The statement concluded with a prayer for unity, protection for the community, and the prevention of strife, asking for the continuation of security, love, harmony, and good neighborliness.
