Nazareth School Dismisses Students Early After Double Murder

The parents' committee at Ibn Amer Public School in Nazareth announced on Thursday the early dismissal of students due to the tense atmosphere following two murders that occurred in the city on Wednesday, resulting in the deaths of three young men. The decision was made by the head of the parents' committee, Jihad Shahwan, after consultations with committee members, citing widespread anxiety and tension in the city after the violent events.

Shahwan explained that the early dismissal, which took place at 10 a.m., was a measure taken out of responsibility for the students' psychological well-being and to protect them from potentially disturbing scenes or situations that could affect their sense of security and stability. Parents were instructed to pick up their children at the designated time.

The committee emphasized that this was an exceptional measure, taken in consideration of the prevailing security and psychological conditions in Nazareth, stressing that the students' welfare and safety are the top priority. The committee also extended condolences to the victims' families and wished for patience and solace for them, and for safety and the return of security and stability to the city.
