Spanish daily Marca reports that Real Madrid is still pursuing Bayern Munich star Michael Olise and has set an extraordinary ceiling of €220 million for a possible deal. That figure would put Olise close to Neymar’s world-record transfer fee of €222 million, paid when he moved from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain.
Olise, described in the report as one of the best players in the world, is under contract with Bayern until 2029. Bayern is said to be refusing to sell him, and club president Uli Hoeneß has made clear that Bayern is not a selling club. The report suggests that even a theoretical bid of €250 million would probably not change Bayern’s stance.
The 22-year-old attacker has produced 22 goals and 31 assists in 52 appearances in all competitions this season, including 21 assists in the Champions League. Marca says Real has already submitted a €150 million offer and may later raise it to €200 million as part of Florentino Pérez’s latest Galáctico plan.
Olise plays alongside Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé for France. To make room for Olise and Enzo Fernández, Real may need to sell several major players. Aurélien Tchouaméni is mentioned as a possible departure, with Manchester United cited as a potential destination, while Fede Valverde is expected to stay for at least one more season.
