Eden Golan Releases Debut Album, Secures U.S. Distribution Deal

Israeli singer Eden Golan has released her debut album, "Imperfections," and signed a U.S. distribution agreement with American company Hitmaker, according to "Mako." Hitmaker has been involved in promoting numerous songs that have charted on the Billboard Hot 100. The contract with Golan was brokered by Charlie Greenberg, recognized in Billboard's 2023 Hip Hop Power Players list. Greenberg also founded the marketing agency 740 Project, which has worked with artists such as Travis Scott, Megan Thee Stallion, and Lil Baby. Previously, 740 Project partnered with Ithaca Holdings, owned by music manager Scooter Braun.

"Imperfections," released on September 10, features 11 tracks entirely in English. The album was produced by Israeli musician Johnny Goldstein, known for his work with artists like Shakira, David Guetta, and Coi Leray. Golan told Rolling Stone that she recorded parts of the album in Los Angeles and chose English because it is the language she thinks, reads, and writes in, allowing her to express herself most effectively.

Golan stated that much of the album draws from her personal experiences, including the aftermath of difficult relationships. She explained that the creative process allowed her to explore themes of vulnerability, self-esteem, and emotional dependency. Golan represented Israel at Eurovision 2024 in Malmö with the song "Hurricane," achieving fifth place. In her interview with Rolling Stone, she reflected on the protests and booing she faced during the competition, expressing pride two years later for enduring the pressure and performing.
