Israel's Animal Shelters Host Major Adoption Events Ahead of Holidays

Multiple animal rescue organizations across Israel are holding large adoption events to find homes for hundreds of dogs and cats before the High Holidays. These events aim to connect potential adopters with animals in need, ranging from young puppies and kittens to senior pets.

Organizations like S.O.S. Animals Tiffany in Herzliya are hosting a major adoption day featuring over 100 animals, including many puppies and kittens. "Tiffani," a one-year-old dog rescued from severe neglect, and "Sandy," a five-year-old dog needing a patient owner, are among those seeking homes. The event will offer guidance from adoption counselors.

Other groups, such as "Animals Need Lives" in Kfar Rut, are showcasing animals like "Chloe," a year-and-a-half-old dog waiting for a year, and "Eden," an energetic Malinois. "Sean," a nine-year-old dog, is part of a special "Foster for Life" program offering free adoption and medical care.

"For the Animals" is highlighting dogs like "Baruch," a three-year-old trained dog, and "Akira," a three-year-old Akita mix. "Hayim Hadashim Le'klavim" (New Lives for Dogs) is caring for approximately 150 dogs, many rescued from difficult circumstances, and is urgently seeking adopters for animals like "Bell," a five-month-old who was surrendered, and "Appa," a five-month-old puppy returned after adoption.

Additional adoption drives are being organized by "Kfar Saba and Ra'anana Love Animals," "Galilee Regional Kennel," "Friend for the Dogs," "Gilboa Loves Animals," "Friend Li," and "Rishon Le'Zion Loves Animals," featuring a variety of cats and dogs. These events often require pre-registration or specific visiting hours, with some emphasizing the importance of the entire family participating in the adoption process.
