Dancing Stars Special Raises Over $4.7 Million for Needy Families
A special "Dancing with the Stars" broadcast, held a week after the season finale, successfully raised over 17.3 million shekels (approximately $4.7 million) for Israeli families in need ahead of the holidays. The event, a collaboration with the "Leket" charity, featured dancing, singing, and stand-up comedy.
Julia Shachar and Yogeve Malka were central to the live fundraising efforts. The total amount collected is expected to provide 192,588 holiday meals to thousands of families across Israel.
The special reunited couples from the recent season, including winners Amir Benay and Romy Noyf, who performed a dance dedicated to Benay's partner. Other participants included Sharan Yeini with her daughter, Shiri Maimon performing "Oxygen," and judges Ana Aronoff and Haim Pershteyn.
During the broadcast, viewers also voted for their favorite dance of the season. Noa Cohen and Eitan Krips were announced as the winners of this audience vote for their paso doble to Shlomo Artzi's "Tirkod," which they performed again to close the show.
The season finale, which concluded the previous week, saw Amir Benay and Romy Noyf crowned champions, with Noa Cohen and Eitan Krips taking second place.
