Pioneering Israeli Space Researcher Adi Ninio Greenberg Dies at 50

Dr. Adi Ninio Greenberg, a prominent Israeli space researcher and a key figure in the Israeli space community, passed away on Thursday at the age of 50. For the past several years, she served as a senior advisor at the Israel Space Agency, managing academic relations and leading numerous national and international projects.

Dr. Ninio Greenberg was recognized as a groundbreaking researcher who dedicated her life to space exploration, scientific education, and making space accessible to future generations. Her career included significant service as an officer in the Air Force's space division and completing her doctorate.

In her role at the Israel Space Agency, she spearheaded initiatives such as managing the agency's scholarship program at NASA's Ames Research Center and fostering research collaborations with the United Arab Emirates for the Israeli-French "Venus" environmental research satellite. She also led the agency's research fund, established the scientific track at the Ilan Ramon International Space Conference, and developed space-related curriculum and community programs on the Campus IL platform.
