Rabbi Adiel Knri Dies Suddenly at 52
Rabbi Adiel Kinnereti, one of the leading figures promoting the study and practice of eruvin in Religious Zionist circles and the man responsible for eruvin in northern Israel, died suddenly of a heart attack at age 52. His funeral is scheduled for Monday at 3:00 p.m. in the new cemetery in Nahariya.
Kinnereti was a graduate of Yeshivat Mercaz HaRav and the son-in-law of Rabbi Yeshayahu Meitlis, the rabbi of Nahariya. His father is Rabbi Yosef Kinnereti, known for his charitable work in Rehovot, and his brother is Rabbi Amichai Kinnereti of the Shlomo Oman Institute.
He was a key driver of efforts within the national-religious public to expand attention to eruvin. In addition to covering the entire northern region, he regularly traveled to help many communities in Judea and Samaria and in the hilltop outposts. His sons study at Yeshivat Kerem B’Yavneh, Mercaz HaRav, and the Moreshet small yeshiva.
