17 Israeli Judokas Compete in Budapest Grand Slam Ahead of World Championships
Seventeen Israeli judokas are set to compete in the Budapest Grand Slam in Hungary, marking the final preparation event before the World Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan, which are scheduled to take place in three weeks. The tournament in Hungary will feature 504 judokas from 67 different countries.
The Israeli contingent will begin competition on Friday with athletes in the lighter weight classes. Representing Israel on the first day are Tom Shmalyov, Yonatan Wexler, Yitzhak Aspiz, Matan Kokuliev, Inbal Shemesh, Eli Cohen, Gili Cohen, Tamiana Nelson Levy, and Gefen Primo.
