17 Israeli Judokas Compete in Budapest Grand Slam
Seventeen Israeli judokas are set to compete in the Budapest Grand Slam in Hungary, marking the final preparation event before the World Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan, scheduled to take place in three weeks. The tournament in Hungary will feature 504 judokas from 67 different countries.
On the first day of the competition, Israeli athletes in the lighter weight classes will compete. These include Tom Schimshai, Yonathan Wexler, Yitzhak Aspiz, Matan Kokolayev, Inbal Shemesh, Itay Haimon, Gili Cohen, and Gefen Primo.
The full Israeli contingent includes Ilai Haimon (up to 52 kg), Gefen Primo (up to 52 kg), Tamiana Nelson Levy (up to 57 kg), Inbal Shemesh (up to 57 kg), Yitzhak Aspiz (up to 60 kg), Yonathan Wexler (up to 60 kg), Karem Primo (up to 63 kg), Matan Kokolayev (up to 66 kg), Tom Schimshai (up to 66 kg), Maya Goshen (up to 70 kg), Adlina Novitzki (up to 70 kg), Ohad Morritz (up to 73 kg), Yonathan Elbaz (up to 73 kg), Raz Hershko (78+ kg), Itay Bibitko (up to 81 kg), Roy Sivan (up to 90 kg), and Yosef Simin (up to 100 kg).
