Man Critically Injured in Shooting Incident in Tayibe

A man, estimated to be around 50 years old, was critically injured in a shooting incident in the city of Tayibe on Tuesday evening. Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency services received a report at 7:26 PM about a man shot and immediately dispatched teams to the scene.

Upon arrival, paramedics found the man unconscious inside a vehicle, with no signs of breathing or pulse. They immediately began resuscitation efforts and continued them while preparing him for transport to the hospital via intensive care ambulance. MDA confirmed the man's condition was critical, requiring continuous, urgent medical intervention.

Paramedics Mamoun Qassem and Odei Fayoumi from MDA described finding the victim unresponsive and without vital signs, initiating CPR and transporting him to the hospital under ongoing resuscitation.

The injured man was taken to Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba for treatment, with medical teams continuing efforts to save his life. Details surrounding the circumstances of the shooting remain unclear.

The incident occurs amidst a surge in violence within the Arab community in Israel, with approximately 173 Arab citizens killed by various means, including gunfire, stabbings, and explosives, since the beginning of the year. Calls are increasing for police intervention to curb the escalating crime.
