Man Killed in Car Bombing in Kiryat Gat

A man was killed on Street HaRimon in Kiryat Gat after his car exploded in what appears to have been a criminal hit using an explosive device. Medics arrived to find the vehicle burning and a person inside with no signs of life. Firefighters extinguished the flames, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

MDA emergency medic Aviad Benhamu said, "We received several reports about a car that exploded. We arrived at the scene and saw the car on fire. During the firefighters' efforts to extinguish the blaze, we saw a man with no signs of life and were forced to pronounce him dead at the scene."

Police said Israel Police opened an investigation after reports of a vehicle burning in Kiryat Gat. The dead passenger was identified at the scene, and Southern District officers, including bomb disposal experts and forensic investigators, were sent to collect evidence. The circumstances of the incident are still under review.
