Ofer Vinter Party to Back Netanyahu, but Won't Be Subservient

Netali Shem Tov, a candidate for the "Am Ich Israel" party led by Ofer Vinter, has clarified the party's political stance ahead of the upcoming elections. Amidst growing political pressure and concerns within the right-wing camp about vote wastage, Shem Tov stated that the party would recommend Benjamin Netanyahu for prime minister and engage in coalition talks with him. However, she emphasized that their allegiance is to the people of Israel, not to Netanyahu personally.

Shem Tov also set clear boundaries regarding potential negotiations with the ultra-Orthodox parties, stressing the importance of an independent political force capable of asserting its demands in coalition talks. "The stronger we are, the less we will be subject to Goldknopf's extortion," she stated, referring to United Torah Judaism leader Yitzhak Goldknopf.

The "Am Ich Israel" party is positioning itself as a right-wing, national alternative that supports a Netanyahu-led government but aims to maintain political independence from Likud and the Haredi factions. This strategy seeks to avoid being dictated to by other parties during coalition formation.
