Global Jewish Community Unites for Rosh Hashanah Prayer Under Heavy Security
Hundreds of thousands of Jews worldwide are set to participate in a synchronized recitation of the "Tikun HaKlali" (General Rectification) prayer on Rosh Hashanah eve. This global prayer event, known annually as "The World Stops for Prayer," will take place simultaneously in Israel and Jewish communities across the globe.
The "Tikun HaKlali" consists of ten Psalms compiled by Rabbi Nachman of Breslov. Organizers emphasize the heightened significance of this year's prayer, stating that the world is watching Israel and recognizing that current events are not natural. Jews from all continents, including the Holy Land, the United States, Europe, South America, and Asia, will join together at precisely the same time to recite these Psalms.
The event is organized to foster unity, with participants praying together in spirit, even if physically apart. The specific Psalms to be recited are 16, 32, 41, 42, 59, 77, 90, 105, 137, and 150, in the order revealed by Rabbi Nachman.
Organizers noted that preparations are becoming increasingly complex each year due to the growing number of Jews wishing to connect with the prayer. They described the current time as "fateful," where history is being made, and urged collective prayer, stating, "Every prayer, every tear, every psalm can tip the scales for the better." They expressed hope for a year of redemption and salvation.
