Yeshiva Students and Alumni Visit Temple Mount Ahead of High Holidays

Students and alumni of the Tzfat Hesder Yeshiva, accompanied by their children, ascended the Temple Mount on Thursday for a joint tour led by the yeshiva's head, Rabbi Eyal Yaakovovitz. The visit took place in anticipation of Rosh Hashanah and the High Holy Days.

The group began their day with morning prayers at the Western Wall plaza before proceeding together to the Temple Mount. Rabbi Yaakovovitz led the tour of the holy site. Following the visit, the participants enjoyed a festive breakfast, a special children's play preparing for Rosh Hashanah, and a brief tour of the Old City.

Rabbi Yaakovovitz emphasized the special significance of visiting the Temple Mount during this period, describing it as an uplifting and moving occasion to crown God in His home and accept the yoke of heaven. He highlighted the importance of seeing the continuity and connection between generations of the yeshiva, with fathers and sons walking together towards holiness. He concluded with a prayer for the swift rebuilding of the Temple.
