Suspect in 10-Year-Old's Kidnapping Has Detention Extended
A 19-year-old Jerusalem resident, suspected of kidnapping 10-year-old Yahli Sofer from Petah Tikva to Bnei Brak two weeks ago, had his detention extended for the fourth time by the Petah Tikva Magistrate's Court. His arrest was extended by five days.
Judge Oren Boaz permitted the suspect's name to be published, but a stay of execution was granted to allow for an appeal to the District Court. A police representative stated during the hearing that there have been significant developments in the investigation, with the suspect also implicated in two additional cases involving harm to children.
