Petah Tikva Celebrates One Year of 'For Heart and Soul' Mental Health Support Center
The Petah Tikva Municipality marked the first anniversary of its 'For Heart and Soul' center, located at the Ettingon Farm. The center was established to provide a supportive community framework for individuals facing mental health challenges and their families. It began operations following the events of October 7th, responding to a recognized need for enhanced psychological resilience.
Over its year of activity, the initiative has become a warm hub fostering partnership, listening, and growth. The project is a collaborative effort involving the municipality's Administration for Social Services, the Society, Youth, and Young Adults Department, the "Tikva LaNefesh" (Hope for the Soul) activity group, and other professionals who have guided the project from its inception.
Weekly activities at the center include social gatherings, empowerment workshops, educational lectures, and various community initiatives. These are designed to equip participants with practical tools and strengthen their sense of belonging.
To commemorate the first year and welcome the new year, a festive gathering was held at the center. The event featured a toast, recognition for the initiative's leaders, and a communal drumming and singing circle that embodied the spirit of the place.
The Petah Tikva Municipality emphasized its commitment to continuing the expansion and development of mental health and social resilience services, ensuring that all residents needing support will find it within the community.
