Arab Israeli Lawmaker Vows New Tactics to Oust Netanyahu

Ahmad Tibi, chairman of the Ta'al party and a member of the Knesset, stated in an interview with Army Radio that his party is prepared to take unprecedented steps to change the political reality and remove Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from office. "We will do things we haven't done before," Tibi declared, adding, "We want to change the reality. We will send Ben-Gvir and Smotrich home. Without us, there is no regime change."

Tibi, however, did not specify the exact measures his party intends to take or outline the limits of their planned actions. The interview did not address potential external support for an alternative government or specific parliamentary maneuvers post-election.

This is not the first time Tibi has signaled such intentions. In February, he estimated that the Joint List could prevent Netanyahu from continuing as prime minister if it secured 15-16 Knesset seats. This approach echoes tactics from the 2019 and 2020 election campaigns, when members of the Joint List recommended Benny Gantz to the president for prime minister, a precedent at the time.
