PassportCard Prepares for Rosh Hashanah Pilgrimage to Uman
PassportCard is implementing special preparations to ensure the safety and health of tens of thousands of pilgrims traveling to Uman, Ukraine, for Rosh Hashanah. The company will support a medical clinic operating near the holy site, in cooperation with United Hatzalah.
Data from PassportCard indicates a rise in travelers to Ukraine for the holiday compared to last year. The company also notes a significant increase in flights to Bulgaria and Poland during the relevant period, which may serve as transit countries for those heading to Uman.
In addition to medical readiness on the ground, PassportCard is enhancing its situation room's preparedness, focusing on monitoring security alerts and changes in the security situation in Ukraine, particularly in the Uman area. This is intended to facilitate a rapid and coordinated response if needed and to assist travelers in case of unusual events.
The central clinic, established for travelers' benefit, will operate from Monday, September 7th, in the afternoon, until Monday, September 14th, at night. It will be staffed by physicians specializing in various fields, providing treatment for routine medical issues as well as emergency and life-threatening situations. The clinic will also function as a pharmacy.
