Channel 14 Panelist Guy Maroz Takes Two-Week Break for Trip
Guy Maroz, a panelist on the Israeli television program 'HaPatriotim' (The Patriots) on Channel 14, announced live on air Wednesday that he is taking a two-week hiatus from the show. Maroz stated he is embarking on a post-army trip to Norway, Scotland, and Italy.
"I want to say Happy New Year. I'm traveling tomorrow for a post-army trip. Really, for two weeks, a crazy trip, so I won't be here. Not because they threw me out and not because I quit," Maroz declared at the start of the program. He detailed his itinerary, beginning in Oslo, then heading to Scotland and Italy for what he described as a "wild trip."
Maroz concluded his announcement by stating, "I'm saying goodbye to you now." The break comes after several recent on-air clashes between Maroz and other panelists. In one notable incident, Maroz stormed out of the studio after the program's host, Itamar Fleishman, called him an idiot during a discussion about Ra'am party chairman Mansour Abbas. Maroz demanded an immediate apology from Fleishman, and when the host refused, Maroz left the studio.
