Guy Maroz Announces Two-Week Break from Channel 14 Program

Media personality Guy Maroz, a prominent figure on Channel 14's panel show 'HaPatriotim' (The Patriots), announced he will be absent from the program for two weeks. Maroz, known for his left-leaning views, has recently been a subject of controversy due to his participation in the right-leaning channel's discussion panel.

His presence on 'HaPatriotim' created internal and external conflict. Critics from his own political camp accused him of legitimizing the channel, while his liberal stances often led to heated debates with other panelists. A notable incident occurred in the summer of 2026 when he walked off a live broadcast following personal insults.

Despite these challenges, Maroz stated he remained true to his principles and found the platform a space for expressing his views. Addressing speculation surrounding his absence, Maroz clarified during a live broadcast that he is taking a personal vacation.

He informed his fellow panelists and viewers, "I want to give a good and sweet new year's greeting." He then explained with a smile, "Tomorrow I'm going on a very short trip, really two weeks, a crazy trip. I won't be here. Not because I was thrown out and not because I left." Maroz detailed his itinerary, which includes Oslo, Scotland, and Italy.

Concluding his announcement, he firmly stated to the panel and viewers, "Goodbye to you now."
