Israel Electric Corporation Orders 800 Fiat Doblo Vans in $27 Million Deal

Israel Electric Corporation (IEC) is upgrading its operational vehicle fleet with the acquisition of approximately 800 new Fiat Doblo vans through a four-year operational leasing agreement valued at around NIS 100 million (approximately $27 million USD).

The contract was awarded to Eldan, a company that also secured IEC's previous vehicle tender in 2022. The agreement includes full maintenance and service for the vehicles, which will be supplied by Fiat's Israeli importer, Smel. These new vans are intended for IEC's operational teams working around the clock across the country, gradually replacing the existing fleet.

The first delivery of vehicles is expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2027. Tami Pekler, IEC's Vice President of Operations, Logistics, and Procurement, stated that the new fleet is a key part of the company's operational efficiency strategy, emphasizing that a modern, safe, and reliable fleet is essential for field teams to provide continuous and quality service to Israeli citizens.

Avi Chai Levi, Co-CEO of Eldan, expressed pride in the win, highlighting it as a testament to Eldan's capabilities in providing large-scale operational leasing services and its proven track record with IEC. Ronen Levi, Vice President of the Business Division at Smel, added that the Fiat Doblo is well-suited to IEC's needs and that the collaboration with Eldan ensures a comprehensive solution.
