Kiryat Malachi Launches Holiday Camp for Working Parents

Kiryat Malachi is introducing its first-ever "Between the Holidays" camp, designed to support working parents during the school break between Yom Kippur and Sukkot. The initiative, a collaboration between the Kiryat Malachi Municipality and the Development Fund, aims to provide a safe and engaging environment for children while their parents are at work.

The camp will operate from September 22nd to 24th, catering to children in pre-kindergarten through third grade. Operating hours will be from 7:45 AM to 4:00 PM, ensuring a full day of activities. The program will be run by professional staff and promises a packed schedule of attractions, including daily club activities, a water party, a foam cannon, and an animal encounter. A hot, nutritious lunch will be provided daily.

To maximize participation, registration will be based on educational streams (state, state-religious, Haredi, etc.) rather than specific schools, a model that proved successful in a previous August camp. This approach aims to accommodate the broadest possible segment of the population.

Early bird registration, ending September 14th, costs NIS 300. After this date, the price increases to NIS 380. Registration is available through the municipal website. Mayor Eliyahu Zohar stated, "We are always attentive to the needs of the residents. The 'Between the Holidays' camp is another step in our commitment to providing the best service to families in the city, assisting working parents, and offering children a safe and enriching framework."
