Eyal Berkovich Faces Complaint Over On-Air Outburst at Producer

Israeli media personality and former footballer Eyal Berkovich erupted in anger during a live broadcast on Radio 103FM, where he co-hosts a current affairs program with journalist Erel Segal.

Berkovich directed his fury at the show's producer, identified as Assaf, repeatedly calling him "one-sided" and demanding an "objective" editor. He accused the producer of bias, stating that the program should present both his and his guest's perspectives fairly, which he claimed was not happening due to the producer's alleged one-sidedness. Berkovich declared it a "disgrace" to the program and the radio station.

Following the incident, the CEO of the organization "Tzlalmo," Shai Glick, filed a complaint with the Second Authority for Television and Radio. Glick's complaint stated that Berkovich's public shaming of the producer, who was unable to respond live, was "shameful and disgraceful" and normalized violent discourse. Glick argued that Berkovich should have addressed his concerns privately with the producer or management.

Glick demanded an immediate investigation into a violation, adding that Berkovich "repeatedly gets into trouble for offending everyone." He concluded by stating, "It's time he or whoever employs him pays a heavy price."
