Holon Basketball Player Greg Lee to Miss Season Opener Due to Ankle Injury
Hapoel Holon will officially begin their basketball season tonight at 7:00 PM, facing Ironi Ness Ziona in the Winner Cup. The game will be held at Zisman Hall due to renovations at Holon's home arena, Lev HaMoshavah.
American forward Greg Lee will be absent from the game after suffering an ankle sprain during a preparatory match against Hapoel Jerusalem. The club aims for his full recovery before his return. Holon, coached by Predrag Krunić, features a new roster of foreign players and is targeting a playoff spot and a strong league performance this season. They will also compete in the Basketball Champions League (BCL) again.
Ness Ziona enters the match following a recent victory over Kiryat Ata. This is their second game in the Winner Cup group stage, and a win would secure them a quarterfinal berth. Ness Ziona will also be without Adam Ariel and Noam Dovrat due to injuries, and new arrival Jacob Wiley, who arrived Tuesday morning, will not play.
