A woman who worked at Channel 13 News for about a week was exposed as an impostor and dismissed immediately after her identity came to light. The incident became public after reports that she had contacted several celebrities while pretending to be a legitimate employee and offering them information she had learned on the job.
According to ynet, the person who uncovered the deception was "Big Brother" contestant Abraham Aklum. He said he recently received a message from a woman claiming to work for Channel 13, who offered to share important information with him. The two exchanged several messages, but Aklum became suspicious that something was wrong.
He decided to check whether she really worked there and arrived unannounced at the company’s offices. There, he found the same woman who had contacted him. Even after that, Aklum continued making inquiries and alerted Channel 13 management to the employee.
It then emerged that she had been hired for only one week and had used that time to approach multiple public figures with information she had gathered at work. Channel 13 said: "We did indeed fall victim to an impostor, who was fortunately exposed immediately and fired before she managed to cause damage."
