Former Israeli Navy Chief: Iran's Regime Could Fall Within Weeks

Former Israeli Navy Commander, Eliezer Marom, also known as "Cheney," expressed his assessment that the economic pressure exerted by the United States on Iran could lead to the collapse of the Iranian regime within weeks. In an interview with 103fm, Marom stated that the U.S. has shifted its strategy from direct military confrontation to intensifying economic sanctions.

Marom elaborated on the U.S. approach, comparing it to actions taken in Gaza, noting that Washington is effectively blockading Iranian ports and targeting the nation's oil exports. "The Americans have moved away from kinetic war and moved to economic war. They are acting and imposing a blockade on Iranian ports, like we do in Gaza, it's very similar," he said. He further explained that the U.S. is working to remove oil quantities by force from the Strait of Hormuz and build alternative routes, thereby "strangling the Iranian economy."

"There is a good chance this regime will collapse," Marom asserted, believing the economic damage could destabilize the regime quickly. He cited a statement from Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, who reportedly said Iran could not sustain its current situation for much longer, as support for his prediction.

Despite his optimism about the regime's potential downfall, Marom also raised concerns about Iran achieving a nuclear capability. He questioned whether Israel and the U.S. are prepared for such a scenario, asking, "If tomorrow morning we discover that Iran has carried out a nuclear explosion, is there a plan for this? For us? For the Americans? I hope so."
