Israel Conducts Operations in Gaza, Lebanon, and West Bank

On September 10, 2026, the 1070th day of the "War of Revival" (also known as "Swords of Iron"), the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported ongoing operations in Gaza, the West Bank (Judea and Samaria), and Lebanon. While a formal ceasefire is in effect in Gaza, the IDF maintains a buffer zone covering over 60% of the territory and responds to violations by targeting terrorists. In Lebanon, the IDF controls a buffer zone in the south and conducts strikes and operations within the country, as well as in southwestern Syria.

Recent IDF actions include the destruction of a two-kilometer-long Hezbollah tunnel network under the Ali al-Tahher ridge in southern Lebanon, which contained numerous Iranian-made rockets, drones, and other weaponry. The IDF also announced the elimination of a Hamas terrorist involved in numerous attacks, identified as Farah Hamed, who held a senior position in the "West Bank Staff." Additionally, a terrorist named Ismail Anqayo, who was planning an armed attack, was arrested in Beitunia by the Duvdevan unit based on Shin Bet intelligence.

Further operations on September 9th involved the elimination of a Hamas "Nukhba" terrorist, Ismail Ibrahim Darwish Qandil, who participated in the October 7th invasion and the killing of Colonel Yonatan Steinberg. Qandil was reportedly preparing further attacks and rebuilding Hamas's capabilities. The IDF also struck three Hamas weapons storage sites in Gaza.

In the West Bank, the IDF conducted operations in multiple locations, including Al-Arroub refugee camp, where 20 individuals were detained on suspicion of terrorist activity. Arrests were also made in Beitunia, Tubas, and other areas. Reports from Gaza indicated overnight airstrikes near Kamal Adwan Hospital, resulting in casualties, and a drone attack in western Khan Younis. Lebanese sources reported Israeli airstrikes and drone attacks in southern Lebanon.
