The "Osher Ad" supermarket chain is offering significant discounts on a variety of products in the days leading up to the Rosh Hashanah holiday. The chain's Rishon LeZion branch saw a surge in shoppers filling their carts with holiday items. Osher Ad was recently ranked second in a "cheapest basket" survey, just 20 shekels behind Rami Levy, and is currently selling pomegranates for 5.90 shekels.

In addition to pomegranates, the supermarket is featuring deals on other Rosh Hashanah staples, including "Malkat HaDevash" honey for 12.90 shekels, Achva honey cake for 5.90 shekels, various shofars starting at 24.90 shekels, and "Eshkolot" natural grape juice for 11.90 shekels. Soft drink promotions include four 1.5-liter bottles of Coca-Cola or Coke Zero for 14.90 shekels, and a six-pack of Coke cans for the same price. "Tafuzina" drinks are priced at 3.90 shekels, and Spring drinks are four for 20 shekels.

The supermarket is also expanding its offerings to include small appliances, with a churro maker, chocolate fountain, and gummy candy maker all available for under 100 shekels. Basic electrical items like electric kettles are also on sale, with a standard model for 19.90 shekels and a digital version for 49.90 shekels. A sales agent described the scene as "crazy," noting the high volume of customers at the Rishon LeZion branch, which is one of the chain's busiest locations.
