Shufersal Launches Rosh Hashanah Sales with Discounts on Groceries and Appliances

As Israelis gear up for the High Holidays, the country's largest supermarket chain, Shufersal, has announced a series of promotions and discounts on a wide range of products. These sales are timed to coincide with the significant pre-holiday shopping period, during which Israelis spent nearly 70 billion shekels on groceries last year.

Among the featured deals are staple items such as grape juice, honey, and tuna packs, all priced at 5 shekels. Extra virgin olive oil is being offered for 10 shekels. Shufersal is also providing special holiday coupons for its club members, with over 100 discounts available on food and other household items.

Significant price reductions are also being applied to meat and fish products. Frozen beef tongue is available for 29.90 shekels per kilogram, while frozen salmon fillet is priced at 49.90 shekels per kilogram. Fresh lamb shoulder is being sold at 89.90 shekels per kilogram.

The promotions extend beyond groceries to include home appliances. A four-burner gas stovetop is on sale for 199 shekels, and a 7-kilogram washing machine is available for 599 shekels.

Consumers are advised to compare prices across different retailers during this period, as even small differences in the cost of individual items can add up to substantial savings on larger shopping baskets.
