Ella, who previously served as deputy legal advisor, brings extensive experience in local government and has risen through the ranks within the Or Yehuda municipal system since 2017. She held key positions in the legal department, including senior litigation manager and, more recently, deputy legal advisor and head of sexual harassment prevention.
In her previous roles, Ella provided ongoing legal counsel to various city departments, managed complex litigation, and represented the municipality in dealings with governmental bodies and national entities. Before joining Or Yehuda, she gained significant experience in administrative and municipal law, working at the law firm Sharhon, Ben Ami, Asher & Co., where she headed the administrative litigation department and advised local authorities. She also completed her internship at the Jerusalem District Attorney's Office in the civil division.
Or Yehuda Mayor Liath Shachat welcomed the appointment, expressing pride in Ella's selection and highlighting her professional capabilities, deep knowledge, systemic vision, and commitment to the city and its residents. Shachat believes Ella will lead the legal department to new achievements during a period of significant development. The mayor also extended gratitude to the outgoing legal advisor, attorney Shlomit Spindel, for her 18 years of dedicated service.
Ella expressed her pride and excitement for the new role, viewing it as a great privilege and responsibility. She thanked Mayor Shachat, the city manager, and council members for their trust, and specifically acknowledged Spindel as a source of knowledge and inspiration. Ella pledged to lead the legal counsel with professionalism, integrity, and partnership to ensure Or Yehuda's continued prosperity for all its residents.
