New Footage Surfaces of Israel's Failed Assassination Attempt in Qatar

New footage has emerged on social media detailing the aftermath of a dramatic Israeli assassination attempt in Doha, Qatar, on September 9, 2025. According to Turkish media reports, citing a Hamas internal investigation, Israel launched six consecutive strikes using 12 missiles against a gathering of Hamas officials. The officials were reportedly meeting to discuss a proposal for a deal from then-US President Donald Trump. A strict security protocol was in place for the meeting, with attendees arriving in disguise, their personal communication devices confiscated, and replaced with secure phones.

Mamaam al-Khaya, son of Hamas negotiation team head Khalil al-Khaya, played a crucial role in the incident. He insisted on moving the leaders to a different building and reinforcing security measures shortly after their arrival. The meeting, discussing Trump's proposal, commenced at 2:12 PM. The Israeli attack began at 3:46 PM, with missiles hitting, among other locations, the office and family home of Khalil al-Khaya. Mamaam al-Khaya was killed in the initial strike, along with Jihad Loubad and other Hamas operatives in subsequent attacks. Al-Khaya's family members were injured, and one strike reportedly targeted a Qatari security unit.

Five minutes after the attack began, an evacuation plan was activated. Hamas leaders were separated and moved to various safe houses, while the injured were rescued and taken for medical treatment. The failed operation reportedly caused significant embarrassment in Israel, leading Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to apologize to President Trump via a phone call from the White House.
