Omer Adam Tops Soldier Song Requests on Galgalatz

The Israeli military radio station Galgalatz has released its annual year-end survey of song requests and dedications made by soldiers. The top-requested artist for the year was Omer Adam, whose songs received the most selections from soldiers across various units. The most requested song overall, and the one that garnered the most dedications, was "Aval At" by Meir and Avitar Banai.

The survey results were compiled throughout the year from the daily program "Kolot HaHayalim" (Soldiers' Voices), which dedicates two hours each day to playing soldiers' song choices and dedications. This year, approximately 250 regular and reserve units, predominantly combat units, participated in the program. Thousands of soldiers nationwide submitted requests and dedications to loved ones.

Galgalatz stated its pride in summarizing a year of Israeli music, highlighting special broadcasts from dozens of bases and events across Israel, including the West Bank, featuring unique performances and the significant role of soldiers in shaping the country's soundtrack. Omer Adam is also nominated for Artist of the Year at Galgalatz's main annual music chart, with his album "Hishelek MeHaNetzach" nominated for Album of the Year.

A special year-end broadcast of "Kolot HaHayalim" hosted by Sergeant Major Nagah Shahar will air on Galgalatz tomorrow between 10:00 and 12:00. The station's main annual music chart, revealing the Song of the Year and Artists of the Year for 5786, will be broadcast tomorrow starting at 14:00.
