As the Jewish month of Elul, leading up to the High Holy Days, unfolds, singer Sandy Dinkels has released a short, focused video titled 'Elul Iz Gut' (Elul Is Good). The project aims to connect the audience with a unique Hasidic perspective on this period of introspection and prayer.

The video is based on the Hasidic concept of 'The King in the Field,' which describes Elul as a time when the Divine presence is particularly accessible and close to individuals. Dinkels emphasizes that this perspective highlights love, closeness, and connection, rather than solely focusing on the fear and judgment associated with the upcoming High Holy Days.

'Alongside the awe and fear, Hasidism has emphasized and focused on the spiritual and positive potential within these days,' Dinkels stated. He expressed his hope that the message of connecting through love will resonate with listeners and help them engage with the spiritual atmosphere of Elul.

The project, with concept, arrangement, and mix by Yanky Cohen and lyrics also by Cohen and Dinkels, features a melody attributed to the Baal Shem Tov, the founder of Hasidism. This blend of ancient tradition and contemporary performance offers a unique musical experience.
